Shots Reach New Fans On Non-League Day

As part of Non-League Day’s efforts to attract more fans to support their local teams, Aldershot Town are offering season ticket holders of Premier League and Championship clubs free admission to Saturday’s match against Altrincham.

With many clubs making similar introductory offers to help more fans support non-league football, The Shots hope that some of the thousands of football supporters in Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and even West London, whose teams are without a game this weekend, will consider the EBB Stadium as the venue for their football fix.

Several non-league clubs have extended this deal to every home game, including Gateshead, to show Premier League and Championship supporters what the Vanarama National League has to offer.

This initiative has been made possible by the Fans For Diversity scheme, which has made The Shots’ game against Altrincham one of just four designated matches on Non-League Day.

Chairman Shahid Azeem said: “We recognise the need to reach out to new supporters and this is a great opportunity to showcase the passion and excitement of Aldershot Town and the EBB Stadium. We would especially hope to welcome some fans who already know the club through attending Chelsea Academy matches. This area is a hotbed of football support and we want to prove the value of Aldershot Town to thousands of potential new fans.”

Supporters wishing to take advantage of this offer must present their season ticket booklets at the EBB Stadium turnstiles on the day.
