Ladies Set For Shawfield Road

Aldershot Town Ladies are set to use the facilities of Ash United's Shawfield Road once again during their pre-season build up.

Aldershot Town LFC are expressing their thanks to neighbours Ash United once again this season as the Combined Counties side have agreed to host the Ladies during their forthcoming pre-season matches.

The Shots Ladies entertain Basingstoke Town Ladies on Sunday 1st August and then two weeks later on Sunday 15th August, they host Leicester City Ladies and officials from the Shawfield Road-based side, have agreed to allow both fixtures be played at their club.

The Shots have been back in training at the Connaught school since the beginning of July and have six new players currently trialling for the team and former manager Andy Liddicott who is currently overseeing all footballing aspects of the Ladies club, told The Shots Online: "I would like to thank the Ash United committee for allowing us to play our pre-season games at Shawfield Road. It will allow the players to have a good workout on an excellent pitch.

"The Ladies have gone through a major change over the summer with former coach Jamie Woodford stepping up to take over First Team duties while John O'Brien has joined us to run the Youth Development Team, so there are certainly exciting times ahead for the club as it continues to gain strength."

Meanwhile, the Ladies will hold their "signing on night" at the EBB Lounge tomorrow evening [Thursday 22nd July], where a number of new players will be announced for both the Ladies and the new Youth sides.

Sunday 1st August vs Basingstoke Ladies, kick-off 2pm.
Sunday 15th August vs Leicester City Ladies, kick-off 2pm.
