Christmas Message From Richard Petty

I would like to wish all our supporters a very happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

2009 has definitely not been an easy year for many of us, we have certainly had some challenges to rise to during the year none more so than the sad loss of our much loved Chairman John McGinty and I know that for us at the club and many of you reading this message this Christmas will be a much sadder time without him around. Our thoughts will I am sure be with his family as we hope that that they will take strength from the wonderful memories that they have of John to help them over the Christmas period. Let's all give a thought to John and his family this Christmas.

I would also like to take this opportunity to ask you to remember how Christmas is a time for sharing and giving. Maybe this year we could try and think of someone we can bring a bit of joy to over Christmas. I am sure that we all know people who may be alone this Christmas and for whom being alone can actually make it a sad time instead of a joyful occasion, for those people to just receive a phone call on Christmas day could mean so much to them to know that friends are thinking of them, so if you can spare a minute amidst your festivities on Christmas day please pick up the phone and make someone's Christmas.

Whatever you are doing and wherever you are going over Christmas I hope that you and your families all have the most wonderful time and that you all have a very happy new year and that whatever you may dream of and desire comes true for you in 2010.
