NCS Team Leaders Required

Aldershot Town’s Football in the Community Trust are giving YOU the chance to help young people have the summer of their life!

The Trust is looking for passionate individuals to become Team Leaders for the intensive summer NCS programme. It is a demanding role, suitable for a dynamic and confident person with experience of working with groups of young people, and who is able to both motivate them and command their respect.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with an exciting programme which has tangible results for the young people involved. The role is demanding and fast-paced but highly rewarding.

NCS is a fantastic way for young people to try some great new activities and build their CV by assisting their local community. The young people participating will receive a certificate signed by the Prime Minister at the end of the project, and NCS also enhances their UCAS application form.

The project will take place during four weeks over the summer holidays, starting on 27 July or 3 August, with a week at PGL in Wiltshire followed by a week at Reading University and a further fortnight dedicated to community work such as charity fundraising or sports coaching. Each group consists of 45 people, aged 16-17 years-old.

Applicants should submit a CV and covering letter to Louise Neil either by post to Aldershot Town FC Community Trust, The ESS Stadium, High Street, Hampshire GU11 1TW or via email to fitc@theshots.co.uk. Applications must be received by 4pm on Friday 26 June. This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS Disclosure and professional references.
