Alex McCarthy
Alex is a giant keeper and is a product of the Reading academy.
Prior to signing pro forms in July 2008, he had loan spells at Conference Premier sides Woking and Cambridge United; he later had a similar spell at Team Bath.
Although he has yet to make his first team debut for Reading, he was an unused substitute in their Championship game against Norwich City in December 2008. He has also been called-up to the England Under-19 squad.
In February 2009, Alex joined Aldershot Town on a month's loan to act as back up to the injured Nikki Bull; Alex made his Football League debut at Exeter City on Valentine's Day.
